Footprints Recruiting is working hand in hand with the National Ministry of Education in Korea to hire teachers for positions around Korea. The following positions are still available - Busan, Gwangju, Daejeon, Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam.
Contracts will be offered for particular provinces. Location preferences are given to teachers in their second year of employment with the National Ministry of Education. In your first year you will be placed in a particular school within your province during the orientation period according to your abilities and interests.
Teaching jobs will be available in a variety of urban and rural locations.
Many of the towns and mid-sized cities in these provinces are deeply rooted with unique traditional culture and history providing an immersion in the Korean experience. Air quality is cleaner in rural areas than in most big cities across South Korea, plus the cost of living is generally lower.
These are excellent ESL teaching opportunities for teachers who are looking to spread their wings and gain invaluable and transferable teaching experience in public schools in Korea. For first-time teachers, whether you have have never taught abroad or never taught at all, these jobs represent an amazing opportunity to gain classroom experience. Preference is given to those with experience but if you’re a sincere, motivated person who loves to work with young kids, this could be a perfect opportunity for you.
If you decide you would prefer getting a unique cultural immersion experience we highly recommend applying for these teaching placements. In these situations teachers are embraced by the communities and they often learn more Korean and get more exposure to traditional culture.
