Overview of Position The role of the L&D Specialist II is to assist in the development and execution of strategies/practices to accomplish these goals by contributing to all L&D initiatives including, but not limited to, development and delivery of highly technical training programs, development of curricula and standards for curriculum development, development of process and procedure documentation, the creation of certification programs, and the implementation and maintenance of a learning management system. Responsibilities Serve as Education/Training Consultant. Assist in the creation of training strategies, methodologies, standards, and templates. Design instruction by coupling adult learning and training techniques with a strong understanding of the subject matter (including the business, the process, the audience, and the related technical details). Develop instruction/instructional materials. Use design to develop appropriate training. This includes writing, reviewing, testing, editing and publishing the following: training guides, online training modules (computer-based), hands-on exercises, case studies, quick reference cards, and presentations. Perform technical writing. Assist process owners and subject matter experts in the research of LT practices to determine, gain consensus, and understand the specifics of the process/procedure to be documented. Finalize procedure documentation for test, review, approval and release processing. Deliver classroom training. Lead or participate in L&D infrastructure projects. Qualifications BA/BS Degree in education, communication, adult learning or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in all or a combination of the following: - Applying adult learning theories - Technical curriculum development - Technical course delivery - Managing multiple large projects concurrently from conception to completion Instructional design and adult learning theory knowledge and experience Effective written skills Strong oral presentation/teaching skills Ability to impart technical knowledge to a wide variety of audiences An ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving, fast paced environment Strong technical background and proficiency in MS Office Who We Are Kroll Ontrack provides technology-driven services and software to help legal, corporate and government entities as well as consumers recover, search, analyze, produce and present data efficiently and cost-effectively.
