POSITION DETAILS

Salary Range: $90k - $110K plus 5K bonus

Education: BS or MS in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science

5 - 10 years experience

20%+ travel

Job Details:

Responsible for establishing Source Approval substantiation programs to ensure the integrity of diffusion coated turbine airfoils, vanes and associated coating manufacturing processes. Communication of design intent, materials, and processing lessons learned to producers of diffusion coated parts, materials and processes. Ensure appropriate Engineering input into continuous process improvement activity on gas path parts and associated manufacturing processes. Facilitate the introduction of new technology into production processes

To Apply - Must Have:

BS or MS in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Materials Science is required. Min 5 years of experience as a Materials Engineer is required. Extensive understanding of the materials and processes used in gas turbine engine manufacture and a good understanding of oxidation/corrosion diffusion coatings and their application processes is required. Experience in other manufacturing processes such as ceramic coating, shot peening, grit blasting, and metal removal is preferred.
